Will you notice me if I’m gone?

If you died, how long would it take before anyone on your social media noticed? We talk to a lot of people in different formats such as Facebook, Twitter, G+, and LinkedIn just to name a few. But if we stopped the flow of activity would anyone notice?

This topic hit me last week when someone texted me saying they had not seen me online lately and was wondering if I was okay. That I had to admit was nice that someone noticed. Someone who had missed me. For let’s be honest, it is nice to be missed. It means someone paid attention, someone cares that you are not around. Who doesn’t like to be missed? I know I do.

We are so busy with our lives and our careers that sometimes we forget to check up on people or sadly even notice they haven’t posted, texted or made a reference that you normally would laugh at or agree to.

Life goes at such a fast pace and it seems to go faster as each year goes by. I would surely hate to lose touch with people while they are still with us. Let’s not forget those around us before it’s to late.

Japan loves my writing: Kind of

I found out in March I sold an ebook in Japan. That makes three, maybe four, so far. I am starting to know what David Hassolhoff feels like when he is in Germany. LOL. I have no clue how people in this far away land are hearing about me. I know people who have been to and have lived in Japan but they are now back in the US. It doesn’t matter, not really. But I am curious what marketing tool I am using or doing that is working in the Land of the Rising Sun. For I would definitely be doing more of it.

Checking my stats I have sales in Egypt, Japan, England, Spain, New Zealand and the good old United States. That is definitely a pretty good feeling.

I have fans of my books

I been told by two people that they have bought all of my books. Okay, the list is short , but so what? This makes me feel like dancing. I’m gonna dance the night away. This makes me feel like dancing. In a way it does. Their waiting for Squirrel Mafia to come out on March 31 so they can purchase it as well.

WOOT!

Does this means I have fans? Seriously, it’s a great feeling to hear this. Maybe I’m doing something right. One has to start somewhere. Having people read your works is a good start. Wanting to read more after the first is next. At least they are not throwing it down and calling it trash among other colorful metaphors that can be used.

Onward to fan #4 who will buy all of my books.
