I have come up with a release date for my book, “Jasper, Amazon Parrot: A Rainforest Adventure”. The magical day is September 7th of this year. Unless of course something monstrous occurs. Just typing that sentence about the date and reading it out loud makes me all warm inside. I plan on buying every version of the book from ebook, to soft copy to hard copy. I want it all!
This has been a long journey and I’m now seeing the fruits of my labor of time, energy and endless meetings with fellow writers whether that be online or in real life.
I look at my bird Jasper and I tell him all the time, “Jasper you are going to be big, I tell ya big. Everyone will be talking about you.” What he normally does is bend his head so I can pat him. The reward for giving me the material for the book. So long I give him plenty of shelled almonds he and I are good.
Now if I can only figure out how to get him to sign the book, then that be perfect.

awesome! is that the print version? cuz our little miss Kyli (the avid reader) has been waiting she adores parrots too and has been dying to see it!
That will be the ebook version. It may take a few weeks before they hit the stores. But I can order them and have it sent to the bookstore since I prefre not to wait. No S&H fee if we do that. At least that is how Barnes and Nobles work when I have ordered books from them.
It is awesome to hear a little lass being an avid reader. Good for her!
Congrats! You could dip the tip of his beak into a berry juice or something and let him scratch at the title page. It’d be a unigue signature every time. 🙂
I do like that and it be easier. I will ponder this definitely. Though if Jasper had his way he would tear it up into a billion pieces LOL.
Hehe, yeah I kinda figured as much. I could imagine you taking him to signings and he’d rip it apart in front of the person. You could hand it back and be, “There you go. Hope you enjoy it.” Not that I’d condone doing that. But the look on their face would be priceless. 😀
