What is your favorite song?

No contest “ What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong.

What is my favorite dessert?

Anything that has vanilla in it.

What ticks you off?

People who are mean just to be mean.

When I am upset what do I do?

I will sketch something in the house or have my birds calm me down.

Which is or was my favorite pet?

It sound cliché to say I don’t have a favorite but it is true. Each have their own personality that makes me love them for them.

Which do you prefer to wear black or white?

While white is my one of my favorite colors it gets way to dirty, due to me. So black.

What is your biggest fear?

Being alone.

What is your attitude mostly?

I try to be as laid back as I can.

What is perfection?

God

What is your guilty pleasures?

 Pepsi and a candy bar

-I love sweet ice tea

-My family and birds complete me

-I am an avid sports fan: baseball, basketball, hockey, football and so on. 🙂

A Nice Rejection

Since February I have been submitting query letters to two of my books. Submitting one’s MS to publishers whether through email or smail is a long tedious process. There will be a rejection letter in your future. Odds are there will be many of these to show up on your doorstep. It is a fact we need to wrap our mind around. So long as we keep on submitting, this is just a stepping stone.

Recently one came in an email to me. There was one difference though, it was not a form letter. The publisher stated that due to a massive overflow of submissions they would be passing over my MS. But she continued to say that my MS was promising. She did not expand too much but to me this was a win. Not a win win but still something positive I could take from this. It’s a start on my path to getting my book in print.

Sharing this “good news” with others people agreed this was pretty cool news. Maybe I am doing something right was what filled my thoughts. Perhaps there is a publisher who is not overburdened with endless manuscripts.  Someone who would be willing to take a chance on an unknown like myself.

That is my hope as I continue to submit my various writings. My mantra is the same today as it has been since I started this journey. All I need is one person to say yes we love your MS. Just one.

The Questions for the Reader Appreciation Award:

1) What is your favorite color?

My favorite color is really two, light pink and white. While I love wearing all colors these are the ones that top my list.

2) What is your favorite animal?

This is the easiest question anyone can ever ask me. I am owned by eight birds and the love I have for this animal is vast. My favorite animal, the bird.

3) What is your favorite non-alcoholic drink?

Sweet ice tea hands down.

4) Facebook or Twitter?

I have to say Facebook for most of my family back in New England are on FB. It is a way to stay in touch which they do on FB.

5) Favorite pattern?

I am not quite sure what this means.

6) Do you prefer getting or giving presents?

I have to say both. Let’s be honest who does not like to receive gifts? But seeing a person smile upon opening a gift I gave them is priceless.

7)Favorite number?

I have three:3,7,9

8) Favorite day of the week?

It has to be Thursday. That is the one day of the week my husband is not working at night.

9) Favorite flower?

I love all flowers. To enjoy the many colors and shapes of the various plants lifts me up.
