Every now and then I check out the spam that has been prevented from reaching this blog. It is amazing how much the software catches and what kind they catch. It is not something I think on often so when I do the collection is interesting.

It ranges from comments in languages I can not understand, comments that has nothing to do with the post they are connected to addresses or sites that go to a blank or invalid screen, address that are either sexual, drug companies and those are just the ones I can think of.

Phew am I glad spam works for me. Imagine if the software did not work on your site and you wake up one morning to comment below? By the way the actual comment ran 2861 words and covered seven pages.

I think it time we give thanks to the spam software that prevents stuff like this from gracing our blogs and websites. It quietly works in the background helping us without every being disgruntled.
